Tonight, the New England Patriots will return to action after their bye last weekend. Playing on the road against the Denver Broncos, the defending world champions will be without some core pieces, though. Besides players on reserve lists, New England will be without starters at right tackle (Marcus Cannon), defensive tackle (Malcom Brown) and wide receiver (Chris Hogan).
The latter position will see one of its key members suit up tonight, though - at least if NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is to be believed:
#Patriots WR Danny Amendola, questionable because of a knee injury, is expected to play vs. the #Broncos tonight, I'm told.
Amendola, who is a de facto starter at wide receiver and the team's leading punt returner is dealing with a knee injury since week seven. However, despite the issue - which was described as a hyperextension - the veteran did not miss any time the following week. It looks like the same will be the case against the Broncos later today.
The full list of inactive players will bd released at around 7:00 pm ET. Make sure to regularly check Pats Pulpit for updates.
