I’m not sure if the Denver Broncos intended to be absolutely terrible on special teams against the New England Patriots, but a pair of gaffes have allowed the Patriots to build an early first quarter lead. After muffing a punt to set up a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Rex Burkhead, the Broncos special teams unit gave up a 103-yard kick return touchdown to Dion Lewis.

Lewis simply ran through the entire Broncos coverage team and received a little extra boost at the end by a Denver defender to get him into the end zone. The Patriots lead 14-3.
