The (5-4) Dallas Cowboys host the (8-1) Philadelphia for Sunday Night Football in what should develop into one of the great rivalries of the next decade or two with Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott leading these two NFC franchises. Kickoff is at 8:30 PM ET on NBC. The Eagles are 3.5-point favorites and the over/under is set at 48.0, implying at 25.75-22.25 Eagles victory.
The Patriots don’t care which team wins this game, but there are interesting potential takeaways from this. If the Eagles win, then Wentz will strengthen his hold on MVP ahead of Tom Brady, if that’s something you care about. If the Eagles win, then they will pick behind the Patriots if both are eliminated in the same round of the postseason. Neither is a strong enough reason to root in one direction or another, so how about rooting for a fun game and just enjoying the ride?
