Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott suffered an early head injury on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys and instead of turning to the punter to handle kicking duties for the rest of the evening, the Eagles looked in a different direction.
The New England Patriots drafted Kamu Grugier-Hill out of Eastern Illinois with the 208th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was hyped as a linebacker/safety hybrid with his 6’2, 220 pound frame, but if he was going to make the Patriots roster it would have been because of his special teams value.
KGH didn’t make the Patriots and found a new home with the Eagles as their top special teams player.
He’s also the Eagles new kicker.

Now it hasn’t been entirely perfect for KGH as the kicker, as the team doesn’t trust him to kick field goals or extra points, opting to either go for it on fourth down or go for two, but he’s been pretty good on kickoffs.
Who wants to bet that Bill Belichick is going to the kitchen to try and cook up a kickoff coverage unit with Nate Ebner as the kicker so the Patriots can have eleven players available to tackle down the field?
