Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Despite the holiday, the New England Patriots held their second practice session of the week today – and the participation looked notably different when compared to yesterday's session. Let's take a look at it:
Did not participate
OC David Andrews (illness)
TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder/hamstring)
OT Marcus Cannon (ankle)
WR Chris Hogan (shoulder)
David Andrews, Marcus Cannon and Chris Hogan all were absent yesterday as well. Martellus Bennett, on the other hand, is a new addition to the list of absentees. The veteran missed his first practice since rejoining the Patriots two weeks ago. Tomorrow's final practice report will determine whether his absence is a serious issue or not.
Limited participation
WR Danny Amendola (knee)
QB Tom Brady (achilles)
DT Malcom Brown (ankle)
SS Patrick Chung (ankle)
TE Rob Gronkowski (illness)
CB Eric Rowe (groin)
WR Matthew Slater (hamstring)
The biggest news of the day, without a doubt, is the return of three core players: Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Patrick Chung were all back on the practice fields today after missing yesterday's session. This certainly is good news for their availability come Sunday's game versus the Miami Dolphins. The rest of the players listed as limited remains unchanged when compared to yesterday.
