The New England Patriots released their final injury report of week 12 ahead of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots removed QB Tom Brady (Achilles) and TE Rob Gronkowski (illness) from the report, although they were still limited at Friday’s practice.
Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh didn’t practice on Friday for non-injury related reasons and should be available on Sunday.
OUT
Patriots: C David Andrews (illness), RT Marcus Cannon (ankle), WR Chris Hogan (shoulder)
Dolphins: OG Jermon Bushrod (foot), DE William Hayes (back), QB Jay Cutler (concussion)
The Patriots will be without Andrews, Cannon, and Hogan for yet another week and that means more playing time for Ted Karras, LaAdrian Waddle, and Phillip Dorsett.
Bushrod is the starting guard for the Dolphins and is a notable loss, while Cutler is the starting quarterback. Hayes is a key rotational pass rusher, too.
DOUBTFUL
Patriots: TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder/hamstring)
Bennett’s absence opens the door for Dwayne Allen to continue to his strong play since the bye week, but also removes a potential player that could be helpful in supplementing the passing attack.
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots: S Patrick Chung (ankle), WR Danny Amendola (knee), DT Malcom Brown (ankle), CB Eric Rowe (groin), WR Matthew Slater (hamstring)
Dolphins: OT Laremy Tunsil (illness), LB Stephone Anthony (quadriceps), S Maurice Smith (illness)
Chung, Amendola, and Brown are important pieces for the Patriots and New England has to hope they are available to play on Sunday. Slater has been battling a hamstring injury all season.
Tunsil was a full participant on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday with an illness and should be able to play as a starting tackle.
