In a little more than 30 minutes the New England Patriots will officially release their list of inactive players for today's game against the Miami Dolphins. Three players have already been ruled out on Friday – David Andrews, Marcus Cannon, Chris Hogan – while a fourth, tight end Martellus Bennett, is expected to be out as well.
According to MassLive's Kevin Duffy, two more players appear to soon be added to the list:
Mike Gillislee and Ricky Jean Francois just left Gillette and walked to parking lot. Sometimes a sign that player will be inactive.
Gillislee is obviously the bigger of the two names (although Jean-Francois' inactivity might indicate that Malcom Brown will return). The Patriots' former starting running back will miss his third straight game as a healthy scratch after carrying the football 98 times for 355 yards and four scores through his first eight games. With Gillislee out, Dion Lewis will likely resume his role as the top running back on the depth chart.
The inactives will be released at approximately 11:30 am ET.
