The New England Patriots returned to the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium today for their second session of the week. The team held a walkthrough preparing for the upcoming matchup against the Buffalo Bills and saw three of the players missing yesterday’s practice return per multiple media reports.
Tom Brady is the most notable name on the list of returnees. The NFL’s best quarterback was out on Wednesday due to an Achilles issue - the same reason why he missed last week's Wednesday session as well. Brady being back today is no real surprise but still encouraging to see.
Also back on the field were linebacker Trevor Reilly, who suffered a concussion on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle. Waddle injured his ankle versus the Dolphins but despite his return is still not expected to be ready for the upcoming contest against Buffalo, as the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe reported earlier today.
The Patriots will release their next injury report later today.
