The New England Patriots signed DL Ricky Jean-Francois, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. The 6’3, 300 pound Francois has played 115 games over the past nine seasons and should provide depth to the Patriots defensive interior as Malcom Brown continues to recover from an injury.

Francois has been an average rotational defensive lineman for much of his career and has been a positive run defender over the past couple of seasons. He should be plugged into the Patriots defensive rotation against the potent Broncos rushing attack.

Francois has 166 career tackles, 12 sacks, and 12 passes defended. He has years of experience in a 3-4 defensive front and should be a natural fit in the Patriots versatile scheme.

He also owns 30 Dunkin’ Donuts stores and should be a perfect fit in New England.
