The New England Patriots won the opening coin toss and elected to receive the ball to start the game. They wanted to get out to an early lead and force sophomore quarterback Bryce Petty to win the game with his arm.
They certainly accomplished their goal as Danny Amendola and Dion Lewis combined for 68 yards, with Lewis punching in the score and 7-0 lead.

The Patriots were dominant on their opening drive and the defense forced a 3-and-out against the Jets offense. Hopefully New England can capitalize and run away with the game.
Oh, and here’s Jets quarterback Bryce Petty struggling to put on his helmet.
Inspiring start for Bryce Petty and the Jets pic.twitter.com/3t9LvfGCxb
