First, Belichick looks at the interception at the start of the game by new defender Eric Lee. Belichick credits Alan Branch for generating a nice push in the middle to disrupt Tyrod Taylor’s throw and tips his cap towards Lee for making so many valuable contributions early in his Patriots career.

Then, Belichick breaks down three consecutive running plays: Dion Lewis’ big run with a stiff arm; Rex Burkhead’s big run before the half; and Rex Burkhead’s long touchdown run. Belichick highlighted the create rushing lanes created by guards Shaq Mason and Joe Thuney, some nice second-level blocking by David Andrews, and a great job sealing the edge by Cam Fleming.
Belichick also harped on the importance of the running backs protecting the football.
“Number one on my hit parade [is] taking care of the football,” Belichick declared.
Finally, Belichick looked at Kyle Van Noy’s second-effort sack of Taylor, crediting the great coverage down the field and the excellent combination rush and blitz by the linebackers.
“Just got to stay after this guy,” Belichick said about sacking Taylor. “He’s a hard guy to handle.”
