The New England Patriots have made another move by adding former Baltimore Ravens DT Lawrence Guy, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Guy is 6’4, 305 pounds pretty impressive length and burst. He will turn 27 years old on March 17th. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers and has spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, and Baltimore Ravens.

Guy has started 18 games for the Ravens over the past three seasons and registered 5.5 sacks. Guy might not rack up many sacks, but he’s consistently disruptive and ends up closer to the quarterback than most players in the league. Guy also finished the 2016 season as one of the top 25 run defenders per Pro Football Focus.

We need to wait until the terms of Guy’s $20 million contract are known because it’s probable that he will be paid much less and that there are a handful of incentives baked into his deal.

Guy joins Alan Branch, Malcom Brown, Vincent Valentine, Woodrow Hamilton, and Darius Kilgo as the Patriots defensive tackles heading into 2017.
