The New England Patriots have released jersey numbers for all of the new members of the team- along with some changes in numbers for older players.
#13 WR Devin Lucien. Lucien previously wore #16, but decided to move up to #13.
#14 WR Brandin Cooks. Cooks previously wore #10 in New Orleans, but that jersey is occupied by QB Jimmy Garoppolo.
#17 WR Devin Street.
#24 CB Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore has taken the legendary cornerback number, previously worn by Ty Law and Darrelle Revis.
#26 DB Jason Thompson.
#27 DB Dwayne Thomas.
#29 CB D.J. Killings.
#34 RB Rex Burkhead.
#34 DB David Jones. With Burkhead a roster lock, Jones will likely have to switch numbers if he makes the team.
#35 RB Mike Gillislee.
#39 RB LeShun Daniels.
#41 CB Cyrus Jones. Jones gave up his #24 for Gilmore and switched to #41 in order to get a fresh start.
#42 DB Kenny Moore.
#45 DB Darius Travis.
#48 TE Jacob Hollister.
#48 LB Harvey Langi. Hollister and Langi were the two highest paid undrafted free agents, which makes their joint jersey a curious decision.
#51 LB Brookes Ellis.
#49 EDGE Corey Vereen.
#63 OT Tony Garcia. Looks like the Patriots 85th overall pick is going by “Tony” instead of “Antonio.”
#67 OT Conor McDermott.
#70 DL Adam Butler.
#70 OL Cole Croston.
#72 DL Josh Augusta.
#72 OL Max Rich.
#74 OL Jason King.
#76 OL Andrew Jelks.
#81 WR Cody Hollister.
#83 TE Dwayne Allen.
#84 WR Austin Carr.
#86 TE Rob Housler.
#88 TE James O’Shaughnessy.
#91 EDGE Deatrich Wise Jr.
#93 DL Lawrence Guy.
#94 EDGE Kony Ealy.
#95 EDGE Derek Rivers.
Here’s a warm welcome to all the Patriots, and let’s hope they do these jersey numbers proud!
