Preseason Week 1 Patriots vs Jaguars: Live updates and open discussion

Welcome to the 2017 season! The New England Patriots will host the Jacksonville Jaguars for the opening week of the preseason and the vast majority of the veterans won't suit up. Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Brandin Cooks, Mike Gillislee, Nate Solder, Alan Branch, Dont'a Hightower, and Matthew Slater aren't expected to play and a few others will likely miss time.

This is the time of the season for the undrafted rookies and the second-year practice squad players to make their case for both the Patriots and for other teams around the league looking to poach from the Patriots scrap heap. Let's root for a healthy game and solid careers for every player involved.
