Preseason week 2 Patriots vs Texans: Scores, injury news, and live updates

The New England Patriots are facing the Houston Texans for the second week of the preseason. The Patriots are expecting their starters to play- possibly for the whole first half- and that means the Patriots debut for RB Rex Burkhead, WR Brandin Cooks, TE Dwayne Allen, DL Lawrence Guy, LB David Harris, and CB Stephon Gilmore.

Rookie OT Conor McDermott is the only healthy Patriots draft pick this week. Look for fellow rookies TE Jacob Hollister, WR Austin Carr, EDGE Harvey Langi, and DL Adam Butler to rotate in with the starters to see how they can perform against NFL talent.

The Patriots will face the dominant Texans defense, which has been giving the Patriots problems during joint practices. The New England offensive line will have their hands full against the Texans defensive trio of J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney, and Whitney Mercilus.
