The New England Patriots will close out their preseason with their annual week 4 showdown with the New York Giants for the 13th consecutive year. Both teams are likely to play only their back-ups and it is the best time for these players to put strong tape together for scouting departments around the league.
The bigger question is whether any veterans find themselves playing in this game, because that’s usually a bad sign of their roster status. Look for LB Jonathan Freeny and RB Brandon Bolden to play for the Patriots because they’re competing for the final few roster spots.
