Former New England Patriots and Houston Texans defensive lineman Vince Wilfork has finally announced his retirement after spending the offseason debating whether or not to return for another year of football. Wilfork made the announcement through a sponsored video with Kingsford charcoal.
Well y’all – it’s been a great run, but the time has come. @Kingsford #Sponsored pic.twitter.com/DXfDzholBi

“No mo’ cleats, I’m movin’ on,” Wilfork announced in an advertisement. He is hosting a farewell party on September 7th, the same day as the Patriots season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. We will post more information as it becomes available.
Wilfork looks like he’ll continue to be a presence in our lives through various barbecuing events, which sounds like a fantastic second career choice.
