NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday night football, the perfect combination of color rush uniforms and moderately prepared teams on prime time. The first installment of this year's series – last week's was the season opener and doesn't count – features two 0-1 squads: The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Houston Texans. Both have lost their week one games in rather humiliating fashion and are now looking to bounce back.

Here's all you need to know:

Houston Texans (0-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-1)

Date: Thursday, September 14th, 2017

Location: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati OH

Kickoff: 8:25 PM EST

SB Nation Affiliates: Battle Red Blog (Texans), Cincy Jungle (Bengals)

TV: NFL Network (produced by NBC)

Announcers: Al Michaels (play-by-play), Cris Collinsworth (color commentary), Heather Cox (sideline reporter)

Online Streaming: NFL Game Pass, NFL mobile (only on Verizon)

Odds: Bengals -5.5

Patriots rooting guide: While we were rooting for a Texans' loss in week one to get them out of the AFC playoff picture as soon as possible, their recent issues – at least as things currently stand – do not make the team look like serious postseason contenders. Of course, a lot can change over the remainder of the regular season but right now Patriots fans should probably root for a Houston victory if only to give New England a better strength of schedule and potentially victory.
