The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts have made a trade! According to multiple reports, the Patriots sent QB Jacoby Brissett to the Colts in exchange for WR Philip Dorsett.

Dorsett was the 29th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, while Brissett was the 91st pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. Dorsett had 33 catches for 528 yards and two touchdowns last season and has two more years on his contract, with a fifth-year option for 2019. Talk about a nice return on investment for the Patriots.
The Patriots essentially decide that another roster spot is more important than a third quarterback. This could also imply that the Patriots have a possible longer term deal in mind for Jimmy Garoppolo. We’ll see if Dorsett is ready for the Chiefs on opening night.
