The New England Patriots and Houston Texans are currently playing a close game. However, the Patriots have been able to pull away a bit on their first drive of the second half. The team went 81 yards in five plays capped by another long touchdown pass – this time, Tom Brady found Brandin Cooks:
The 42-yard score does not only give the defending world champions an eight-point lead, it also is the first touchdown Cooks has caught with the Patriots. Cooks, who turns 24 tomorrow, joined the team via trade this offseason. New England invested a first-round draft pick to acquire the talented wideout – and on the touchdown above it is visible why.
Cooks shakes the cornerback assigned to him on an in-cut and outruns the entire defense. Cooks now has three catches for 88 yards and one score. Tom Brady, meanwhile, is 15 of 22 for 243 yards with four touchdown passes.
