Midway through the third quarter, the New England Patriots and Houston Texans are going toe-for-toe. The Patriots currently lead 28-27 but the team might have suffered a big-time loss in its defensive secondary. According to New England's official Twitter account, cornerback Stephon Gilmore is questionable to the contest:
#Patriots injury update: Stephon Gilmore (dehydration) is questionable to return. #HOUvsNE
Gilmore, who joined the Patriots this offseason and has been the team's top cornerback ever since, has left the game on team's first defensive series of the second half. The 27-year old headed into the locker room with an apparent injury; one that turned out to be dehydration. Entering the game, Gilmore has been questionable due to a groin injury – dehydration therefore is as positive a diagnosis as can be expected.
According to CBS' Evan Washburn, Gilmore has returned to the sidelines and might be able to return to the game.
[UPDATE] Gilmore has returned to the game in the fourth quarter.
