Even though roster cutdowns are over, the New England Patriots are busy. After all, it is time to create a practice squad and trying to re-sign players exposed to the waiver wire yesterday. Four such players will return according to recent reports:

Ted Karras, who was one of the more surprising Patriots cuts this year, and Geneo Grissom have all been part of New England's 2016 active roster. Them clearing waivers allows the team to add plenty of experience to the practice squad and add another layer of depth at two positions.
David Jones and Damarius Travis, on the other hand, are both rookies. The two defensive backs both joined New England's roster as free agents shortly after the draft. While they were longshots to make the team, both were able to do enough through training camp and the preseason to warrant addition to the practice squad.
