Earlier today, the New England Patriots defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-20 in the AFC Championship Game to advance to the eighth Super Bowl of the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era and NFL record 10th in franchise history. Now, after the NFC title game concluded, we know who New England's opponent will be: the Philadelphia Eagles.
The conference's number one seed defeated the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 38-7 during a NFC Championship Game that saw the home team pull away early and never look back. As a result, Philadelphia will now face the Patriots in Super Bowl LII – a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX, which saw the Patriots beat the Eagles 24-21 to earn New England its third title in four seasons.
Now, the Patriots are in a position to win three titles in four years again. And as has been the case 13 years ago, the Eagles are the team standing between New England and the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
