The New England Patriots of the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick-era have been known for their decision making as it helped them win five Super Bowl win in the last 17 years and brought them on the doorstep of another win. In order to achieve this sixth title, the Patriots have made another decision – one regarding their jerseys:

The Patriots are not taking any chances with their jersey color and will wear their road uniforms despite being the designated home team for Super Bowl LII.
After all, white has served them well during the dynasty days: The last three of New England's wins on the biggest stage all came when wearing white jerseys and navy pants. In general, the outfit holds a Super Bowl record of 3-1, by far the most successful of clothing combinations, with the lone loss coming before the days of Brady and Belichick:
White: 3-1 (W: SB XXXIX, SB XLIX, SB LI; L: SB XXXI)
Blue: 2-2 (W: SB XXXVI, SB XXXVIII; L: SB XLII, SB XLVI)
Red: 0-1 (L: SB XX)
New England opting to go with their road jerseys also means that their opponent on Super Bowl Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles, will have to wear green – a color that has not served the NFC champions well in the past: Both of the Eagles' title game losses have come when wearing that color: Philadelphia lost against the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XV and against the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX.
Of course, the color of the jerseys will not have any impact on the game. But if it is just the slightest psychological advantage, you can be certain that the Patriots will use it.
