It took a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game, but in the end the New England Patriots prevailed. The team defeated the Jaguars 24-20 thanks to a very good fourth quarter that saw the team score two touchdowns while stifling its opponent’s offensive aspirations. Complementary football at its finest.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick recently joined color commentator Scott Zolak to talk about the fourth quarter and how his team was able to complete the comeback and punch a second straight ticket to the Super Bowl. The 10-minute segment starts with the future Hall of Fame coach breaking down two offensive plays his team perfectly executed: a 31-yard flea flicker from Tom Brady to Phillip Dorsett and the first touchdown pass to Danny Amendola.
Belichick went on to take a look at two special teams plays - the kick return following Amendola’s touchdown and a 20-yard punt return by the veteran - as well as a Patriots sack by James Harrison and Kyle Van Noy. Finally, Belichick and Zolak talked about the game-sealing run by Dion Lewis that secured the Patriots a spot in the Super Bowl.
