For the final time this week and despite the blizzard taking place in Massachusetts, the New England Patriots returned to work today. However, the practice session did not take place on the fields behind Gillette Stadium but, due to the inclement weather, inside the Dana Faber Field House. And just like yesterday, it saw the return of a previously injured player.
After the returns of running back Rex Burkhead and defensive tackle Alan Branch yesterday, defensive edge Eric Lee was back on the practice fields today. The 23-year old missed yesterday’s session due to an ankle issue that bothered him for the last two weeks. Lee did not miss last Sunday’s game against New York because of the injury, though, and should be ready to go when the Patriots enter the playoffs next week.
With Lee returning, only one player missed today’s session: Running back Mike Gillislee missed yet another session because of a knee injury that already forced him to miss last Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
