The New England Patriots saw their odds of winning Super Bowl LIII increase from 12.5% to 13.3% after they defeated the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football, per the oddsmaker Bovada. And yet the Patriots slipped to third place in the overall rankings.

The Los Angeles Rams held on to first place by improving their odds from 23.1% to 25.0%, while the Kansas City Chiefs leapfrogged New England after crushing the Jacksonville Jaguars and rose from 11.8% to 14.3%.

The New Orleans Saints (10.0%) and Minnesota Vikings (7.7%) round out the top five.

The Patriots and Chiefs square off on Sunday Night Football and the winner will be the favorite to have homefield advantage in the postseason and win the AFC. The Jacksonville Jaguars (6.7%), Los Angeles Chargers (4.8%), Cincinnati Bengals (4.3%), Pittsburgh Steelers (4.3%), and Baltimore Ravens (3.8%) round out the playoff picture, with no other team above 2%.

The Patriots strengthened their hold on the AFC East with a 90.9% chance of winning the division, the second-best of any division-favorite in the NFL. The Rams are given a 99.0% chance of winning the NFC West.
