It’s amazing what a couple of wins can do for the confidence of a fan base. Back in week 4, after back-to-back losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions, fans of the New England Patriots were experiencing a low point.
According to our poll, only 31% of Patriots fans were confident in the team, the sixth-lowest mark in the league- ahead of only the Pittsburgh Steelers (26%), Denver Broncos (23%), Houston Texans (12%), Dallas Cowboys (6%), and Arizona Cardinals (5%).
After beating the Miami Dolphins, Patriots fans’ confidence skyrocketed back up to 73%, which ranked 13th overall in the league.
Another week later and a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the pocket and Patriots fans’ confidence crept up to 75% and back into the top ten.
- Los Angeles Rams (100%)
- Kansas City Chiefs (99%)
- New Orleans Saints (97%)
- Cleveland Browns (96%) (adorable)
- Chicago Bears (96%)
- Cincinnati Bengals (87%)
- Indianapolis Colts (84%) (what)
- Carolina Panthers (84%)
- New England Patriots (75%)
- Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings (70%)
Good for Browns and Colts fans for having so much confidence in their teams!
Patriots fans also expect to defeat the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football by an average of 1 point, while Chiefs fans expect to win on the road by an average of 5 points. Splitting the difference suggests a Chiefs victory by 2 points. We’ll see how this game plays out!
