After cruising to a comfortable lead in the first half, the New England Patriots started to fall apart in the third quarter due to a series of self-inflicted mistakes on offense and big plays given up on defense and special teams. Down 33-30 in the fourth period, it was time for an answer – and it was spectacular one by the Patriots offense and quarterback Tom Brady.

The Patriots drove the football down into the Chiefs red area to set them up with a first-and-goal but the first two tries to punch the football into the end zone came up empty. Kansas City had a chance to stop New England on third down but Tom Brady was able to avoid a sack and turn it into a four-yard touchdown run to give his team a 37-33 lead with five minutes left in the game.
