The New England Patriots won a nail-biter against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, 43-40, with the final play of the contest deciding it in the home team’s favor. After the Chiefs were able to tie the game on a long touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Tyreek Hill, the Patriots had 3:03 to drive for the winning score – and they did just that.
Along the way, New England converted a 3rd and 1 with a Sony Michel rush before a long pass to Rob Gronkowski:

Gronkowski’s 39-yard catch and run set up the Patriots at the Kansas City 9-yard line and all that was left to do for New England was kick the game-winning field goal. Stephen Gostkowski did just that, nailing his 28-yard attempt to give the Patriots their fourth victory of the year:

Due to their 43-40 win, the Patriots are now 4-2 on the year with the Chiefs falling to 5-1.
