The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills find themselves in the middle of a defensive prime time battle – and both teams have suffered hits in quarter three: Buffalo starting linebacker Tremaine Edmunds left the game due to a concussion and will not return. Meanwhile, New England linebacker Elandon Roberts and starting right guard Shaq Mason also had to exit the game. Both are questionable to return.
Roberts is dealing with a groin injury and left for the locker room early in the third period. He has since returned to the sideline but not yet re-entered the game. With Dont’a Hightower declared out for the game due to a knee injury, special teamer Nicholas Grigsby entered the field in place of Roberts. Mason, on the other hand, suffered a calf injury and was replaced in the lineup by veteran backup Ted Karras.
[UPDATE] Elandon Roberts has returned to the field.
