After heading into the locker rooms up 24-3, a sloppy third quarter by the New England Patriots allowed the Indianapolis Colts to get back into the ball game. After the visitors made it a one-possession contest, it was on Tom Brady and the Patriots offense to get back some of the momentum after two giveaways after the half. And they did just that.
New England marched 75 yards in six plays, capped by a touchdown pass from Brady to recently added wide receiver Josh Gordon:

An impressive play by Brady, Gordon and the offensive line, New England is now up 31-17 because of it. Furthermore, the touchdown pass was the 500th of Brady’s Hall of Fame career and helped him set a new all-time record: with the touchdown, Gordon becomes the 71st different receiver to catch a scoring pass from the greatest quarterback of all time – breaking a tie with Vinny Testaverde.
