Monday Night Football is going to be spectacular as the (9-1) Kansas City Chiefs are on the road to face the (9-1) Los Angeles Rams. Kick off is at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN.
The Rams as 3-point favorites, which is basically just because they’re the home team. These two powerful teams are evenly matched, with the Chiefs having the second-best offense in the league and the Rams fielding the third-best offense. Kansas City is playing better defense, keeping six of their previous seven opponents to 23 points or fewer (the Patriots’ 43 points in week 6 the lone exception). Five of the Rams’ previous seven opponents have scored 27 or more points, with four exceeding 31 points.
The New England Patriots want the Rams to hand the Chiefs their second loss of the season in order to increase the Patriots’ chances of getting homefield advantage in the AFC. The Chiefs still have a home game against the Los Angeles Chargers and a road game against the Seattle Seahawks, so hopefully there’s another loss or two on their schedule.
Not much has gone the Patriots’ way in week 11, with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans recording last-second victories and the Chargers falling in the final seconds to the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals missing a game-tying field goal late in the fourth quarter. A Chiefs victory would be a clean sweep for the opposition.
