On this week’s episode of the Pats Blitz Podcast, Steve and Chris are joined by Alex Barth from CLNS Media Network. Alex is a great Patriots writer and also hosts the Callin’ It podcast. Together, the three preview the New England Patriots’ upcoming game against the New York Jets — and more.
Jets game: Alex, Steve, and Chris all see this being a close division game, so Patriots fans should get their Tums ready. The Jets are pretty bad, yes, but for one reason or another, these games are always close.
Special teams issues: Alex believes the addition of Obi Meliwonfu will help the Patriots’ special teams unit, specifically when it comes to kickoff returns.
Offensive struggles: Alex puts some of the blame on coordinator Josh McDaniels’ play calling, something Steven has been talking about for a while as well.
