The New England Patriots released their final injury report of the week ahead of their game against the Minnesota Vikings and it’s great news for New England.
The Patriots removed QB Tom Brady (knee), DB Nate Ebner (knee), WR Julian Edelman (foot), and TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle/back) from the injury report, meaning just two players were listed on the report- and just one of those players is dealing with an injury.
DE Trey Flowers missed practice Friday, but it was not injury related and he should be available to play on Sunday.
Here’s the injury report:
OUT
Patriots: TE Dwayne Allen (knee)
Vikings: WR Chad Beebe (hamstring), TE David Morgan (knee)
Allen is the lone Patriot injured right now and he was listed as “did not practice” on Friday after participating in a limited capacity on Thursday. Beat writers saw Allen on the practice field, so perhaps there was limited work for Allen.
Beebe and Morgan weren’t expected to play.
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots: None.
Vikings: CB Mackensie Alexander, WR Stefon Diggs (knee), CB Xavier Rhodes (hamstring), WR Brandon Zylstra (foot)
Both Diggs, the Vikings #2 receiver, and Rhodes, the Vikings #1 cornerback, returned to practice on Friday, which means that they’re likely to suit up on Sunday. They’re of the most important players on the Vikings, but you can be certain that the Patriots will try to test Rhodes’ hamstring.
Alexander, the Vikings #3 cornerback, is also questionable, but was a full participant on Friday. Zylstra is a depth receiver that was added to the report on Friday.
