Oof. What a let down. The New England Patriots had victory in their grasp against the Miami Dolphins and let it slip through their fingers.
Rob Gronkowski, Josh Gordon, and Julian Edelman had great games. Tom Brady had a great first half before his knee injury. The secondary had a strong showing, outside of those responsible for covering Kenny Stills.
And yet the Patriots couldn’t stop the run for the second straight week (why is Danny Shelton a healthy scratch?) and only scored six points in the second half. There were many opportunities for the Patriots to put this game away and they failed to capitalize time and time again.
But fortunately, the rest of the AFC had just as terrible of a week and the Patriots remain in second place in the conference. Hooray.
