The New England Patriots offense started quickly into its week 13 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. After scoring a touchdown on its first possession of the game, however, the group struggled to consistently moved the football and scored only three more points — until late in the third quarter that is as a series of big plays helped the Patriots to their third score of the game.
First, it was a 24-yard pass from quarterback Tom Brady to wide receiver Josh Gordon:

Despite the Vikings having injury issues in the secondary, Gordon has had a quiet day until the 24-yard reception — his first target and catch of the day. The Patriots followed this pass up with another big play, a 15-yard pass to tight end Rob Gronkowski:

The NFL’s best tight end made an impressive catch but limped off the field two plays after the reception. However, he returned for the next series — and after the Patriots went up 17-10 on Gordon’s second catch of the drive:

The Patriots are currently in possession of the football again and appear to finally have found some offensive rhythm.
