The New England Patriots’ offense has come to life late in the third quarter with a touchdown reception by wide receiver Josh Gordon. And the team was far from done: after the defense forced a punt — Trey Flowers had a sack on third down — that was returned to midfield by Julian Edelman, the Patriots marched down the field for another touchdown.
It took New England only six plays to add to its 17-10 lead on a two-yard scoring run by fullback James Develin:

Develin is arguably the NFL’s best fullback for his ferocious blocking in the running game. However, he hardly ever actually touches the football. Today is different, though. Not only did the 30-year old record a reception, he also carried the ball twice near the goal line — and scored two touchdowns on each of his runs. Considering his role in the offense, it is not surprising that this is Develin’s first two-touchdown game of his NFL career.
