After winning 38-3 today, the New England Patriots will enter the NFL’s 2018 postseason as the second seed in the AFC. Playoff seeding, however, is not the only thing the team learned today: the Patriots and all the other clubs across the league now also know who they will square off against in 2019. Check out the full list of the team’s opponents next year:
Home games
Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets
New England will have some interesting home games next year. Besides hosting its three division rivals, the team will also welcome the AFC West champions from Kansas City to Gillette Stadium, as well as an up-and-coming Browns team, a Steelers squad that always appears to be in the playoff race, the postseason bound Cowboys and the rebuilding Giants — a team employing former Patriots left tackle Nate Solder.
Road games
Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets
The biggest games on the Patriots’ upcoming road schedule are undoubtably the Super Bowl 52 rematch in Philadelphia and the game against the Ravens in Baltimore. New England will furthermore travel to Houston to take on the AFC South champion Texans, visit the Bengals and fly to Washington. With the exception of its yearly game in Miami and the one in Houston, the team will not have any long road trips ahead.
As always, the NFL will announce the full schedule for the next season in April.
