The New England Patriots took care of business in week 17 and secured their first round bye, but there’s still a small chance they could secure homefield advantage if two games go their way. Here’s your afternoon rooting guide.
4:25 PM ET
Raiders at Chiefs: The Patriots want the Raiders to win and send the Chiefs to 11-5.
Chargers at Broncos: The Patriots want the Broncos to win and send the Chargers to 11-5. If the Chiefs win, then this game doesn’t really matter.
Browns at Ravens: The Patriots want the Ravens to win and be the AFC North champion to keep Pittsburgh away from the postseason.
Bengals at Steelers: The Patriots want Pittsburgh to lose so they’re out of the postseason.
Bears at Vikings: The Patriots want the Vikings to win because New England owns Chicago’s second round pick.
Eagles at Washington: The Patriots want Philadelphia to lose because New England owns their seventh round pick.
49ers at Rams: This game doesn’t matter to New England.
Cardinals at Seahawks: This game also doesn’t matter.
8:20 PM ET
Colts at Titans: The winner reaches the playoffs, the loser is out. The Patriots would prefer Tennessee to make the postseason than the Colts because Indianapolis is much, much better.
