The NFL’s 2018 regular season is over which means we now know who will play in the postseason — and who is already on to the next year. Coaching changes are a natural part of this process of transitioning from one season into another, and a lot of them will occur around so-called Black Monday: the first day after week 17 is normally the one when most coaches are relieved off their duties.

The Packers have requested permission to interview both Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and the team’s de-facto defensive coordinator, Brian Flores. (source) With New England on a bye next weekend, both men will have time to do interviews. However, they cannot get hired until after the Patriots’ season is over.
The Cleveland Browns have also requested permission to speak with on of the Patriots’ assistants: they want to interview Brian Flores for their head coaching vacancy. (source)
