After two straight road games, the New England Patriots returned to Gillette Stadium on Sunday to play the Minnesota Vikings. While the visitors feature one of the NFL’s better defenses as well as a talented offense, New England was able to hold them in check and win 24-10. Naturally, the team’s postgame locker room was all smiles as the Patriots’ weekly behind-the-scenes clip shows:

The clip starts by showing plenty of high-fives and congratulations — especially regarding one player: James Develin, who had the first two-touchdown game of his career against the Vikings. “Who had Develin in fantasy this week?” asked backup offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle when the fullback, the only player visible still wearing his helmet, made the rounds with the offensive line.
Afterwards, Bill Belichick took the floor. “That’s a good job, that’s what we needed,” the head coach said. “We got good special teams, got good return yardage; give up 10 points on defense, turn the ball over, moving the ball on offense — we played the game the way we wanted to play it and we got the results we wanted.” After his speech, Belichick told the team that it would receive Monday off.
As usual, Belichick gave the floor to special teams captain Matthew Slater next. “How do we feel about a Vikings Victory Monday win?” Awww yeah.
The Patriots also released a sights-and-sounds clip from the game, including an interesting scene of defensive line coach Brendan Daly working with his unit on hand placement and, naturally, plenty of James Develin.
