The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins continue putting up points, with 41 already on the board midway through the second quarter. For the Patriots, fullback James Develin found the end zone before three touchdown passes from quarterback Tom Brady. The first went to wide receiver Julian Edelman from two yards out of the end zone, the second to offseason acquisition Cordarrelle Patterson:

Brady threw a 37-yard strike to Cordarrelle Patterson; a pass the wide receiver caught with his fingertips. After New England surrendered yet another score — the second by ex-Patriot Brandon Bolden — the team drove down the field in eight plays to get up on top again. This time, tight end Rob Gronkowski found his way into the end zone:

Gronkowski has one of his most active games of the season so far, having already caught four passes for 54 yards and his second quarter touchdown. Thanks to the score and a subsequent stop by the defense, the Patriots are up 27-21 with under two minutes left in the first half.
