The New England Patriots held a second practice session at the Minnesota Vikings' practice facilities today. And as has been the case yesterday, all 53 players on the active roster were present for the session. However, as opposed to previous practices, there were no limited participants. As a look at the latest injury report shows, all of New England practiced fully.
Did not participate
Eagles: DT Timmy Jernigan (illness)
For the second straight day, Philadelphia defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan was a no-show at practice because of an illness. It remains to be seen whether or not the veteran will be ready to play in the Super Bowl.
Full participation
Patriots: CB Malcolm Butler (illness), TE Rob Gronkowski (concussion), SS Brandon King (knee), DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (concussion)
Eagles: RB Jay Ajayi (ankle), DT Fletcher Cox (calf), LB Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring), CB Ronald Darby (illness)
Yesterday, the Patriots had four players listed as limited. Today, all four players were full participants. This also means that tight end Rob Gronkowski and defensive edge Deatrich Wise Jr. were both officially cleared from the concussion protocol. Both – just like Malcolm Butler and Brandon King – will be good to go on Sunday.
The Eagles had one addition to the injury report today, as cornerback Ronald Darby was added with an illness.
