Despite the last gasp report that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels might stay with the New England Patriots, NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran reports that McDaniels is still planning on becoming the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
NBC Sports’ Tom Curran was told last night that Josh McDaniels will inform Bill Belichick today of his plans to take the Colts job, and will be in Indy later this week for a press conference. So you may exhale now.

McDaniels is expected to “inform Bill Belichick today of his plans to take the Colts job” and that would allow the Patriots to promote wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea to offensive coordinator.
Of course after the report surfaced that the Patriots plan on naming Greg Schiano defensive coordinator instead of promoting Brian Flores, who knows what the heck is going on with this team right now.
