The New England Patriots expect offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to join the Indianapolis Colts as their head coach later this week and he’s not going to be alone for the journey.
According to WEEI, Patriots special teams coordinator Joe Judge is expected to join McDaniels with the Colts. Judge has served as a special teams coach since 2012 and the team has posted a top 10 unit every season.
The Patriots have a few in-house options to replace Judge. Ray Ventrone could receive the promotion to special teams coordinator and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Brian Belichick followed in his father’s footsteps as the assistant special teams coach.
There’s a mass exodus of talent from New England. We’ll see how much this affects the team next season.
