2018 NFL free agency: Which Patriots acquisition are you most excited about?

Cast your votes.

Even though they lost a total of five players so far during free agency, the New England Patriots have still been pretty busy. Overall, the team – either through trade or unrestricted signings – acquired six players since the market opened last Wednesday, addressing needs and adding depth in all three phases of the game:

DE Adrian Clayborn: The former first round draft pick signed a two-year, $12.0 million free agency contract with the Patriots. He is expected to become a vital member of the team's defensive edge rotation alongside Trey Flowers, Deatrich Wise Jr. and Derek Rivers.

RB Jeremy Hill: The unrestricted free agent joined New England on a one-year, $1.5 million contract. A bigger running back, the 25-year old is projected to serve as an early-down and goal line option for the Patriots.

CB Jason McCourty: The Patriots acquired the twin brother of Patriots team captain Devin McCourty via trade from the Cleveland Browns. Coming off a solid season, the slightly younger McCourty should take over as one of New England's top three cornerbacks.

WR Cordarrelle Patterson: After only one season with the Oakland Raiders, Patterson was traded to the Patriots. In New England, he will likely do what he does best: Run back kickoffs and serve as a rotational package-dependent wide receiver.

DT Danny Shelton: Just like McCourty, New England acquired Shelton via trade from the Browns and likely expects him to take over a starting-caliber role. The 12th overall pick of the 2015 NFL draft has all the makings of a solid addition to the interior defensive line.

OT Matt Tobin: With Nate Solder leaving through free agency, the Patriots are in dire need to add to their offensive tackle position. While Tobin is not the flashiest signing, he brings depth and experience to the table and could take over Solder's old role.
