NFL Agents love working with Bill Belichick, don’t like the Jets, Dolphins, or Broncos

What a fascinating survey.

USA Today conducted a survey of 25 different NFL agents to get their perspective on the league and various executives in the space. Is anyone else surprised about what the agents had to say about Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots?

The agents said the Patriots are the third-best prepared team during contract negotiations, behind the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles and that Belichick is the second-most respected decision maker in the league, behind only Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome; Newsome is expected to step down after the 2018 season.

On the negative side of the register, agents think the New York Jets are the fifth-worst team to deal with in contract negotiations, ahead of only the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Washington, and the Chicago Bears.

Washington president Bruce Allen is the least-trustworthy decision-maker in the league, followed by Miami Dolphins executive VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum and Denver Broncos general manager John Elway.

So there you have it- yet another advantage that Belichick and the Patriots have over their rivals. Agents just like the Patriots a lot more than other teams, counter to what many pundits say about the Patriots relationship with their players.
