Last week, the New England Patriots held their three-day mandatory minicamp. Today, the club heads back to the fields behind Gillette Stadium to kick off its third and final week of organized team activities.
Let's take a look at the Patriots' practice schedule this week:
Monday, June 11
Tuesday, June 12
Thursday, June 14 (open to the media)
Friday, June 15
Per the collective bargaining agreement, the four sessions – as opposed to last week's – are voluntary. It would therefore not be a surprise if quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski once again are not among the attendees after already sitting out the voluntary portions of offseason workouts prior to minicamp. Nevertheless, the duo looked as good as always during last week's practices so them missing this week would not be a big deal.
Other storylines to follow over the next few days – Thursday in particular – are the position battles at cornerback and wide receiver as well as the development of the offensive line. Safe to say, the last week of practices before players and coaches will start heading into their summer vacations is still an intriguing one when it comes to building the 2018 Patriots.
