New England Patriots wide receiver Kenny Britt pulled up limping in the middle of Tuesday’s minicamp practice and ESPN’s Mike Reiss has the injury update.
Kenny Britt, who flashed today working with Tom Brady and looks in peak physical condition, could be limited the rest of camp after pulling up (hamstring). But it isn’t viewed as anything overly serious.— Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) June 5, 2018
With third-year wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell sidelined from practice, Britt projected to be the team’s top outside wide receiver- assuming Chris Hogan continues to flex both inside and outside like he has over the past two seasons. Britt could have used a strong minicamp period to establish his position on the depth chart.
Instead, Britt will have to recover from this injury and if he is limited he is unlikely to create any separation over his competition. Britt will try to flash his 1,000+ yard receiving ability later in the summer.
